Communication Roles

The Scottish Government's Communications Directorate is at the heart of public sector communications in Scotland.

We employ communications specialists in a variety of disciplines - media relations, marketing, online and digital, corporate and internal communications.

We use a range of communication tools to help people understand how Scottish Government policies, decisions and objectives affect them. These include Ministerial announcements, advertising campaigns, and a regularly updated website. More and more, we are taking a multi-disciplinary approach to communications planning, creating integrated teams to ensure the Government's priority messages are effectively communicated and influence changes to people's attitudes and behaviours.
